488.2V4 BETA VERSION

This page contains a Beta version of ICS's 488.2V4 GPIB Driver Installation Program, version 4.0.0.1. The 488.2V4 GPIB Driver supports ICS's 488-USB2, 488-LPCI and 488-PXI cards for use on 32 and 64-bit versions of Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.

Do not use these drivers in systems with other companies' GPIB Controllers or with other ICS GPIB Controllers. It will over-write their GPIB-32.DLL and force you to do a complete re-install.

488.2V4 Beta Driver Installation Notes and Warnings

ICS's 488.2V4 Beta Driver supports ICS's 488-USB2, 488-LPCI, and 488-PXI GPIB Controllers. The installation includes ICS's Explorer program, ICS_Spy, example programs for the common programming languages and the required runtime files for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.

This version of the 488.2V4 Driver includes true 64-bit application support for the 488-USB2 USB-to-GPIB Controller module.

CAUTION This beta version should be used only on systems that have not had the 488.2V3 or 488.2V4 Driver installed on them. If you have the 488.2V3 or 488.2V4 installed, it must be uninstalled before installing this 488.2V4 Driver.

While we have done extensive testing of these drivers on clean computer systems, there could be unexpected side affects on other systems. Be sure to backup your computer prior to the installation of these beta drivers. By downloading and installing these beta drivers you agree to hold ICS harmless from any damage that may occur to your computer or to programs installed on your computer and to promptly communicate any problems to ICS.
