ICS's LAN (Ethernet) Interfaces are all VXI-11.3 compliant
and are ideal for the following operating systems:
LINUX, UNIX, SunOS, Apple OS X, HP-UX, IBM-AIX and Windows 2K or later Windows systems. ICS's Ethernet Interfaces use the RPC and the VXI-11 protocols for secure
communication with virtually any computer. Other features include IEEE-488.2 compliance,
SCPI command sets, internal WebServers and
compatibility with LXI instruments. To learn more about the VXI-11
protocol and how it benefits your system, download our new VXI-11
Tutorial or a copy of the VXI-11

8099 Ethernet to Modbus RTU Interface lets a user control RS232
or RS485 Modbus RTU devices from a network or over the Internet. The 8099 connects to any TCP/IP 10/100 MHz network and functions as an Ethernet to Modbus Gateway. The 8099 is fully VXI-11.3 compliant and is is easily controlled from any computer or operating system. Windows systems can use a VISA library or a third party RPC package. Linux/Unix (Apple) systems can use their native RPC generator to prepare a VXI-11 library for inclusion in their programs. An internal Web Server lets you change the network settings and control Watlow and other Modbus temperature controllers from any web browser. Use ICS's VXI-11 Keyboard program or VISA keyboard program for instant control from a PC without writing a program. The 8099 is command and serial interface compatible with ICS's 4899A, 4809 and 4819 series GPIB-to-Modbus Interfaces making it an easy way to upgrade to Ethernet based test and control systems.
